On Earth as in Heaven
Reminds me that Moses was instructed to ensure that the tabernacle, a shadow of heavenly things, was built exactly as he was shown it (Hebrews 8:5).
Ezekiel saw the heavens opened and visions of God (Ezekiel 1:1).
St Paul visited the 3rd heaven (2 Corinthians 12:2).
St John went through a door that opened up into heaven (Revelation 4:1).
Few have responsibilities like Moses or the experiences of the others.
We are promised that prophecy, visions, dreams will be normal (Acts 2:12) - but visits to heaven?
What of Heaven are we to seek to bring to earth? *
In Heaven, there is no fear. | In Heaven, there is no dismay. | In Heaven, there is no shame. |
In Heaven, there is no guilt. | In Heaven, there is no lying. | In Heaven, there is no division. |
In Heaven, there is no hypocrisy. | In Heaven, there is no sickness. | In Heaven, there is no death. |
In Heaven, there is no murder. | In Heaven, there is no sorcery | In Heaven, there is no immorality. |
In Heaven, there is no abuse. | In Heaven, there is no rejection. | In Heaven, there is no divorce. |
In Heaven, there is no famine. | In Heaven, there is no drought. | In Heaven, there is no drunkenness. |
In Heaven, there is grace. | In Heaven, there is mercy. | In Heaven, there is forgiveness. |
In Heaven, there is liberty. | In Heaven, there is prosperity. | In Heaven, there is housing. |
In Heaven, there is support. | In Heaven, there is loyalty. | In Heaven, there is trust. |
In Heaven, there is kindness. | In Heaven, there is gentleness. | In Heaven, there is patience. |
In Heaven, there is medicine. |
In prayer we are called to:
Bind on earth that which has been bound in Heaven.
Release on earth that which has been released in Heaven.
See Matthew 18:18
Creation groans waiting for the fulfillment of such prayer (Romans 8:22).
We ourselves groan and the spirit intercedes for us (Romans 8:26).
