Ps. 37:3-6
Trust the LORD and live right!
The land will be yours, and you will be safe.
Do what the LORD wants, and he will give you your heart's desire.
Let the LORD lead you and trust him to help.
Then it will be as clear as the noonday sun that you were right.
v12 the merciless plot against good people.
v14 the wicked destroy the poor and needy (like Satan).
Ps. 37: 21b
… a good person is generous and never stops giving.
Ps. 37: 22-24
Everyone the LORD blesses will receive the land;
everyone the LORD curses will be destroyed.
If you do what the LORD wants, he will make certain each step you take is sure.
The LORD will hold your hand, and if you stumble, you still won't fall.
Ec. 11:6
Plant your seeds early in the morning and keep working in the field until dark.
Who knows? Your work might pay off, and your seeds might produce.
Early – after dark / youth.
Dark – death / end of life (no retirement).
Lk. 16:9
My disciples, I tell you to use wicked wealth to make friends for yourselves.
Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home.
Anyone who can be trusted in little matters can also be trusted in important matters.
But anyone who is dishonest in little matters will be dishonest in important matters.
If you cannot be trusted with this wicked wealth, who will trust you with true wealth?
And if you cannot be trusted with what belongs to someone else, who will give you something that will be your own?
Mt. 6:3
When you give to the poor, don't let anyone know about it.
Showing respect / dignity to recipient.
v6 – deliberate planned action.
v7 – don't get carried away.
