As I mentioned in previous article on 'God is Good' theme, a lot has happened!

Neglected to update on my wife's situation - she died the other day.
Thought I would leave mentioning that until another time - i.e. now.

An underlying theme of this time has been 'God is Good'.
We have seen His miracles of timing and provision.
We have seen support by the 'Body of Christ' as a whole, not just our little corner.

A few days before I gave a brief update at church.

Where do we go from here?
Jenny had ideas of doing ...
Already we are seeing one event unexpectedly coming together in her absence.
What else had she made preparation for, prayed for, prophecised in part ...?

Opened my mouth to someone about a prophecy concerning myself years ago. In doing so, without a comment from them, I suddenly realised I might have been looking in the wrong place regarding its outworking / fulfillment and God's plans. See Ephesians 1:11 He makes everything work out according to his plan.

God has a Plan - Trust Him
Don't need to understand the plan - trust the planner.

Walking by faith = trusting the plan God has already worked out.

The other day I heard someone speak on the subject of testing God.
Israel in trouble for testing God (Exodus, Hebrews 11:9), Gideon's test request accepted (Judges 6).
Confused - why is God angry with one and not the other? Its simple...

The one is testing whether God is good, the other testing whether the good is God.

Reminds me of Romans 12:1-2

God is good ... let God change the way you think ... then you will able to test and approve what God's will is ...

Jesus put it another way John 3:3

No one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.

Explains to me how a person can be standing next to the Kingdom of God and not see it.
They have not been born again, had their mind renewed and allowed God to change the way they think.

This, and other similarly themed articles, have been compiled into the 'God is Good Series'.
