The other day I mentioned to someone about knowing God as father.
The idea occurred to me that like in other relationships I find there are stresses and strains in this.

Such issues boil down to an issue of authority.
Ephesians 2:1-2 - "... fighting against God. ... ruled by the selfish desires of our bodies and minds".

Note that this is not speaking about someone ruled by or obeying the devil.
What you are doing may be good, but is it in disobedience to God?

What part does the devil play in this?
The same passage from Ephesians also explains this...
... the devil has power over everyone who doesn't obey God.

You may think you are in control of your life.
You might be doing good, not mashing up people's faces.
But to whose tune are you dancing?
Matthew 6:9-10 "Father ... honour to your name ... your Kingdom come ...".
