Well 'The big day' has arrived.
A I've suggested before - we don't need an election, we need God's Spirit!
See (Isaiah 32:15-20) (CEV)
When the Spirit is given to us from heaven, deserts will become orchards thick as fertile forests.
Honesty and justice will prosper there, and justice will produce lasting peace and security.
You, the Lord's people will live in peace, calm and secure, even if hailstones flatten forests and cities.
You will have God's blessing, as you plant your crops besides streams, while your donkeys and cattle roam freely about.
As a nation we don't have fertility, honesty, justice, peace or security (alright - I know you are thinking of people who long to have what we have, but I see that we fall far short of what could be ours...).
On a personal level am I living in less than what Jesus purchased for me on the cross?
I am sure that 'God is for me, not against me' and He can be trusted, any shortcomings are on my side - anxiety, stress, living in panic instead of faith just because I want to get to the destination earlier...
Watching the spring this year. Wife complaining that I appeared to have killed some things off - but the buds come and the shoots grow...
Putting out some new plants - miserable looking things, but in a few months the misery of this season will be forgotten.
