I write this at a time of national crisis.
Are people out crying on the streets, filling the churches you may ask - NO is the answer!
I don't want to write this sort of stuff, I don't want a reputation for meddling in the affairs of state. I want to be a person (and purpose of this site) who points people to the God who loves them - Jesus. He is not against you he is for you. He gave his life for you, you do not to clean up you act to come to him (Romans 5:8).
But then I realise I have touched on the state of the nation before.

The national crisis I am refering to is the relationship between the UK and the EU (i.e. Brexit).
To my simple mind we have two options NO BREXIT or NO DEAL.
I think any compromise or midway deal will have one outcome - tears!
What is the will of God in this? Should I pray that we ask to tearup the brexit thing, apologise to the EU leaders and promise to behave in the future, or should I pray that we pull the plug and walk away?
Then I turn to look to see what God has to say (1 Timothy 2:1-4)...
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
I do not consider myself a seer (Daniel 4:9) or given to dreams, visions, prophecies (Acts 2:17-18, Numbers 11:29) - although such are promised to all God's people and part of the normal christian life. But in the past I have had thoughts (Daniel 4:5) of crowds of people gathering to pray & worship in public open places, and churches breaking with the crowds (Luke 5:6). What would trigger such an event? Unlikely to be a peaceful and quiet life! The bottom line is God, our Saviour, wants all people to be saved!
