I've mentioned before (God is Good 7) about the trauma of the shipwreck recorded in Acts 27.

I recently found these quotes by Brenda Hale (author of "I Married a Soldier"):

  • God has been so active in my life, but that doesn't mean to say I'm happy about it.
  • God sometimes takes me down roads I really don't want to go.
  • I try not to look at the bigger picture, because I think it would overwhelm me.

Reminded of a comment from elsewhere "The wisdom of God always triumphs over common sense".
Regardless of your situation - "God is for you, not against you". See Psalm 121.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Been watching these, by Steven Furtick, on the same theme. Brings out a lot more insight into the circumstances of life we face.

It WILL happen, It HAD to happen, I am GLAD it happened

It will Happen

It had to Happen

I'm Glad it Happened

It all seems relevant to the season I am in and appropriate to the theme of exploring the Goodness of God.

This, and other similarly themed articles, have been compiled into the 'God is Good Series'.
