I recently came across some publicity with the title 'Good without God'.
My initial thoughts turned to comparisons between good and bad behaviour.
The reason I turned to Jesus (became a Christian) - I realised without Him I was on a loser.
Then I started to get clever and asked "is God good without you?".
Afterwards I wondered what I meant!
Then I realised unhappiness, uneasiness, disappointment are opposites of good and without you God is not good because he experiences such feelings. Jesus expressed such feelings when he declared "... how often ... but you were not willing" (Luke 13:34). We also read "God so loved, that he gave..." (John 3:16). His door is open - make his joy complete by turning to your God!
But can you be 'Good without God'?
Consider some of the meanings of the word good.
Are you complete?
Are you fit for purpose?
Are you moral? - without God there is no morality / standard.
