Just been watching this video Sid Roth interviewing Bill Johnson
Introduced with the words 'Bill Johnson operates in MAJOR miracles'.
Don't consider my life to fit the description of 'operating in MAJOR miracles'.
Not without the need of a 'MAJOR miracle' myself - but would prefer one I could tiptoe quietly away from with a "that's a surprising outcome" comment from the Medics. I don't want a visit from the Daily Mail *!
But listening to Bill Johnson - what he describes is what I see as 'The Normal Christian Life'.
How I want to operate / grow in my life.
Not concerned about MAJOR miracles - but knowing how to 'interact with God'.
Knowing God - His heart, His methods, His objectives.
Praying 'Your Kingdom come, Your will be done'.
When making plans "if its the Lord's will" (Jas 4v15) does not mean 'if disaster does not strike'.
But it means interacting / discussing those plans with Him (Prov 3vv5-11).
Trust in the Lord.
Lean not on your own understanding.
Do not be wise in your own eyes.
Fear the Lord.
Shun evil.
Honour the Lord.
Do not resent His rebuke.
* But then my desire is to declare 'God is for me not against me' - MAJOR miracle or not.
'Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!' (Ps 96v3).
